Honestly he is right, it is still early on in the season and the team is still trying to figure themselves out. They are still looking for that groove to get into.
"I can tell you they are better than this," Cashmen said." The is a fact, from an offensive standpoint, we finished second in the league with runs scored adn the winter added Starlin Castro and Aaron Hicks. We are obviously better than this. That's a fact inside the game or outside the game to the casual fan or if you are covering on the media. That is an answer that everybody would easily say. These guys are better than what they are showing."I feel New York is going to have to make plenty of changes. It won't be easy because its not just one player that is the problem. It is the whole team. They still need to find it in themselves to get back up and to give it there everything. Nobody said it's going to be easy.
They got a lot riding on them. The players get payed tons and tons of money to perform efficiently for the team but they aren't even doing that. This is not the Yankees I knew. There is a lot of younger players on the team now. All of them need to step it up no matter how long they have been with New York.
As of right now, changes will not be made, so as Yankee fans we are just going to have to give them the best support we got. New York still has a legacy and they are still one of the greatest teams in baseball history. That is definitely something to be proud of. It's the amount of heart you put into the game you love. There will always be hatred, rivalry, and competition and that will never change.
Severino get's the mound today still looking for his first win of the season, against Tillman and the Baltimore Orioles. Game time will be at 7:05 p.m. in Camden Yards.
