Greatest Rivalry in Baseball

As you may know New York is playing Boston in a three game series, starting tonight. These games have always been really intense whenever they both play each other. It all began in 1919 when the Red Sox owner Harry Frazee was running out of money for his team.

Frazee had no choice but to sell one of his players, which was Babe Ruth to the Yankees for $125,000. This has been known now as one of the worst trades in baseball history. Getting rid of there star player and later a baseball legend. Boston began going down hill, fans began to become disappointed. 

However the New York Yankees became the most successful teams in the history of baseball, capturing 26 world series since the year 2000. As time went on New York acquired future hall of famers. It was so bad that Red Sox fans kept blaming the Yankees for how bad they were while New York was getting all the praise. 

Boston always seemed to have fallen short against New York in the regular season or in the postseason. Each game played up to this day always tends to be brutal. A lot of fights tend to break out. There will never be peace between the two teams.
