Final: New York 3 - Toronto 2 Game Recap

Last night was definitely a good performance by the New York Yankees winning 3-2 against one of there toughest tests of the year. Last season the Yankees were on a roll but the only the that kept hurting New York's second half of the season were the Blue Jays.

New York entered the sixth inning trailing 2-1 until McCann hit a homerun to tie the game at two. Jacoby Ellsbury scored the winning run with his go-ahead single in the seventh inning. It's great to see some life in Ellsbury because he has been taking hits lately because of his poor performance at the plate.

Masahiro was a lot better in this start, only giving up two runs over five innings. He only lasted five innings due to his high pitch count. He needs to keep working, he's still not at his best. But he got the job done last night regardless. Tanaka is still looking for his first win of the season. Overall this was a very good game.

Pineda gets the mound in tonight's start against Happ and the Blue Jays. Game time is at 7:07 p.m. at the Rogers Centre.
